Too late Too gone is the person you've been seeking So dark So wrong is the person that they chose to be Sick games Cruel aims, theatrics trying to fool you So are you feeling safe my darling? Hung cloak Smokescreen, endless walls for you to see through Dead end Unseen are the things that try to block your way You can't rest So instead you're popping pills just to calm you But still it wakes you up before the morning Just one step closer to the fall (But still you cling to solid ground) The noise of screaming echoes in your ears You don't even make a sound Too many years of knowing this façade (Such a surprise when it finally cracked) So just be careful who you trust Because some people will stab you in the back Hid behind closed eyes Is a brain that only knows disguise Oblivious to its own demise 'Cos locked away inside Are the doubts it still fights to deny The elements of a real life Untrue Insane accusations flung right at you This time This game is proving too much for you to take Betrayed Dismayed you reach and try to touch the way things once were Like tactile dreams they fade so quickly With fire in your eyes and heart worn on your sleeve (You try to reach the one you know has left) But you just get a hollow shell populated by lies The soul now reticent Too many years of knowing this façade (Such a surprise when it finally cracked) So just be careful who you're gonna trust Because even crooks can act Hid behind closed eyes Is a brain that only knows disguise Oblivious to its own demise 'Cos locked away inside Are the doubts it still fights to deny The elements of a real life Hid behind closed eyes Is a brain that only knows disguise Oblivious to its own demise 'Cos locked away inside Are the doubts it still fights to deny The elements of a real life Hid behind closed eyes 'Cos locked away inside

Nothing Left 03:26
Is it beyond you just to keep things moving? To start something and to follow it 'til the end? 'Cos what you tend to do Is just give up instead Don't dry your eyes until you think we're done here The rest of what our lives hold starts here today 'Cos this time I'm afraid I just can't let you have your way This is your last chance But tight-lipped you let her run away Are you better off with nothing left? With no reason left to feel afraid? A loss of patience is the start of loss A way to prove your point but to break their trust And then the whispers circulate your name As a friend who slowly fell from fame Is it beyond you just to do things our way? Show some loyalty and loved ones never leave Put up with all the pain With sights on what you could achieve This is your last chance But tight-lipped you let her run away Are you better off with nothing left? With no reason left to feel afraid? 'Cos they'll still never forget you With black eyes and tired minds We struggle on through all kinds of fire Sheer perseverance And from the bottom of our hearts We're inspired to reach for what we desire Our motivation The thoughts that have saved our lives This is your last chance But tight-lipped you let her run away Are you better off with nothing left? With no reason left to feel afraid? 'Cos they'll still never forget you

What's it like to be the victim Of the story you create? It seems an era has gone wasted Feelings forced to dissipate Running scared towards the outline Shadows suffocate her face Intimidated by the fallout A so called absence, unresponsive space Just a midnight message To help her fall asleep Left for him to find in the morning To tell him she was out of reach The last year slips through his fingers If only she could see him now Still searching for an answer I don't think she'd be so proud of her mistake I have come to terms with the way you are 'Cos you're too difficult for me to even recognise your scars I have learnt to live remembering what you put me through But as you stole my dignity I lost my respect for you Taking baby steps to regain Strength he lost along the way And steadily daylight shines longer Making new starts from decay A selfish battle fought for nothing Other than the way she made him feel Every day a new horizon Signalling the facts that she's concealed this time One more cruel disaster Adds insult to injury He learns of her misdemeanours His veins flow with misery She still shrugs off accusations Truths have never been so hard to find But all the hurt all the betrayal Can't make him chance his mind, the love he feels I have come to terms with the way you are 'Cos you're too different for me to even recognise your scars I have learnt to live remembering what you put me through But as you stole my dignity I lost my respect for you I jumped the bridges that you chose to burn the day you left I gave my everything and you just looked away instead Your second chance has blown up in your face, you're out of luck I've left the past behind now I don't really give a fuck I jumped the bridges that you chose to burn the day you left I gave my everything and you just looked away instead Your chance has blown up in your face, you're out of luck (So leave the past behind) Your futile argument has come unstuck Just a midnight message To help her fall asleep Left for him to find in the morning To tell him she was out of reach Heartbroken, devastated But would you just look at me now? Weight of the world has left my shoulder I think I can be proud of the path I've made I have come to terms With everything you're not And everything we used to be Tell me was it not enough? I made sacrifices Time spent chasing you And more than just whole-heartedly I believe we could have made it through Could have made it through
